If you’ve ever shopped for a logo, you know how frustrating it is. Prices can vary from $30 to $1,000 (or more), you might not know what you want, and one designer’s ideas might not be enough.
How are you suppose to know if the designer you choose will design the logo of your dreams?
The best logo design you’ll be proud to put all over the place. The logo that will give your clients the best first impression. The logo you’ll keep and cherish for a long time.
Best Logo Design: Enter the World of Crowdsourcing
Crowdsourcing is a new way of outsourcing tasks that was first coined in 2006. Simply said, it’s the process of “outsourcing” a task to a “crowd” of people. There’s different variations of the model, but the idea behind it is to be able to tap into a wider and bigger pool of talent.
99Designs is the first company to bring this outsourcing model to the design world.
It was founded by a really cool guy named Matt Mickiewicz…who I met for the first time at a conference last year. Watch an interesting interview with him on my favorite show.
How does it work?
1) You start a project
2) Provide exact details of what you want
3) Sit back and wait for dozens of designers from around to world to submit their concepts to you
4) You choose the best logo design, and only that designer gets paid
It’s an awesome business model that works really well! Go check out some examples of open projects right now to see it for yourself.
Best Logo Design vs. Most Affordable Logo Design
99Designs is best if you’re really looking for the best logo design you’ll absolutely LOVE. It’s not the best place to go if you’re looking for an affordable logo…since they start at $295.
I know that sounds like a lot, but if you think about it…a logo is pretty damn important when it comes to the branding of your company. It will be with you for a long time. A good logo can build instant credibility and trust with your clients.
If you’re looking for a great logo for a very affordable price, check out LogoNerds. You can get a logo (3 concepts) as low as $27! I use them all the time.
They’ll make you a nice logo, but it won’t be the same as dozens of designers submitting their ideas.
I personally haven’t used 99Designs yet (sorry Matt) because I’ve always been happy with LogoNerds. But I think I’m going to try them out for my personal brand logo.
I’ll keep you posted…
